Video Game Tester Job

Would you like to have a career as a gamer? Would you like to actually start getting paid to do what you love?

If so, the best and easiest way to get paid to do what you love is to be a video game tester. Being a game tester gives you the chance to test unreleased games before they even comes out to the general public. In most cases you will get a hold of unreleased games weeks before any one gets a hold of them. How cool will that be?

Even though you want to be a video game tester, there are things that you need to do if you want to make a career out of it so that you don't have to go back to a boring day time job.

1. Be Serious

Even though the idea of getting paid to play video games for a living can be exciting, you have to also keep things serious as well. You have to remember that you are not playing just for fun. You are not going to be playing a game just to beat it quickly before anyone else.

Your goal is to test out just about everything in the game you are playing. You are going to be testing all the characters, you are going to be on the look out for anything that seems out of place just like glitches and errors. You have to remember that you are not game player, you are a video game tester.

2. Following Directions

If you want to be a video game tester, you will also need to have the ability to follow the directions that they give you. With each game that they send you there are going to be some directions and instructions included with them. The instruction need to be reread as often as possible so that you do not miss out on anything. And most importantly, the deadline.

Missing the deadline to complete the instructions given to you is a big negative, especially if you want to continue to be a video game tester.
