Have you been hearing a lot of mumbo jumbo about a game testers salary being around $100,000 a year or more? If so, I hope you didn't believe it.

To be honest with you, a game testers salary is averaging right around $39,000 to $70,000 a year right now with a couple years of experience. On the low end of the scale you can expect to make right around $39,000 after about 3 years of experience.

And after you get about 6 years of experience testing video games you can expect your game testers salary to be at or around the $70,000 mark. But this doesn't mean that you can't make more.

There are other areas in gaming that you can go into that will pay you even more money.

But you have to remember that you need to get your foot into the door first. And the best way to get your foot into the gaming industry is by being a gaming tester.

When you become a gaming tester you will ave the chance to get paid to do what you love which is playing video games.

But on a serious note, you are going to be doing a lot more testing than playing video games. And sometimes it can get pretty boring testing the same level over and over again, but hey, it beats working at some fast food restaurant for a living, right?

So the choice is really up to you now whether you want to take that first step now by becoming a gaming tester or you can just continue to dream about it.
