Would you like to become a game tester? Would you like to be able to get paid to do what you love for a living? If so, then you are in luck today.

The gaming industry is a $40+ billion dollar business and it is growing each and every single day. There is a ton of opportunities for individuals that love to play games for a living as well. But you should obviously know how competitive the video game industry is, right?

The competition is cutthroat in a lot of the video game competitions out there and it is especially going to be even tougher to land a position as a game tester. If you want to get that gaming job of your dreams you are going to want to stand out ahead of the competition. Major gaming employers from companies such as Blizzard, EA, Nintendo etc. are tired of looking at the same applications over and over again.

If you turn in the same application as the thousands of gamers before you, you are going to end up with a disappointment. If you want to become a game tester here are just 2 of the many things that major employers are looking for:

1. Gaming Development Experience - If you want to become a game tester, it would be a good idea to have some experience in the development side of things. This can mean anything from writing your short games to beta testing MMOs. Even if you do not have the experience to do it, it helps to gain the experience if you can.

2. Education - Having an education will help you stand miles ahead of the competition. Whether you a degree in design, programming, artwork or even a high school diploma, having something helps.

And these are just a few of the many things that you would need to become a game tester.
